Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker — one of the very best Wii U games that made its way to the Nintendo Switch — is now available to play for free on the Switch! Nintendo of America has announced that Captain Toad will be available until January 20.
Anyone with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription will be able to download Captain Toad for free through Nintendo’s eShop.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker started off as a little mini-game in Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U before branching off into its very own 3D puzzle game. The game was originally released on the Wii U back in 2015, but this free trial version is an enhanced port that includes a few new levels based on Super Mario Odyssey and improves the camera, an incredibly important part of this game.
The free trials available through the Nintendo Switch Online subscription includes the full game, so you can download and play through the entire game during the trial period.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is available to play for free from January 13 – January 20.
