Cloud versions of games aren’t immune to patches or day-one updates. Square Enix has released a day-one update for the Nintendo Switch versions of the Kingdom Hearts games. The updates are available via the cloud for all of the Kingdom Hearts games as well as the demo versions.
The official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account announced the patch, stating that it will “fix various bugs which occur whilst playing either full or demo version” of the games. However, there’s no comment on exactly what problems the patch addresses.
Today we've also launched a day 1 patch. This will fix various bugs which occur whilst playing either the full or demo versions of each Kingdom Hearts game on Nintendo Switch. #KH20th

Players are still reporting that there are issues with the game which prevent it from loading and make it unplayable. According to some, these problems mostly appear when trying to play the game while the console is in docked mode.
