Crystal Manufacturer Baccarat Creates $25,000 Pikachu

Still wanna catch ‘em all?

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have teamed up with an unusual partner to mark the 25th anniversary of the franchise. French crystal manufacturer Baccarat has created a wide variety of crystal sculptures in the past, and now, they’re doing it for the Pokémon Company.

The brands have announced three special collectible items, and needless to say, they don’t come cheap.

At the lower end of the scale is a crystal Poké Ball at 2.7 inches tall, coming in at $410. There’s also a 5/7-inch Pikachu figure for $440. The most expensive item from the group however is the $25,000 centerpiece of the collection. It’s an 11.8-inch tall Pikachu Fragment specially designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara and only 25 of them will be made.

The Pokémon Company certainly has a way of celebrating milestones and considering the collector’s items are for Pokémon, they’ll probably be in high demand. If someone is interested in the $25,000 piece, then they’ll need to contact Baccarat to discuss the sale.
