Nintendo Switch is getting another farming sim this month! Staxel first released in 2018 for PC, and now it’s been confirmed for release on the Nintendo Switch on September 23. It features Minecraft-style graphics in a first-person game where you can build your own farm.
Staxel allows you to explore, change and build to create the farm of your dreams. There are different seasons which all bring new challenges and content to the game. It’s a farming game, so the game loop includes planting crops, harvesting, and keeping animals.
Similar to other games in the genre — Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Rune Factory 4, etc. — there’s also plenty of locals to befriend, insects to catch, fossils to excavate, quests to complete, and extra cash to earn.
Staxel is set to release September 23 and pre-orders are already available.
