Game Boy and Game Boy Advance Classics Come to Life on Nintendo Switch Online

Are you ready for some classic gaming goodness? Last week, Nintendo announced that Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games are available on the Nintendo Switch Online subscription! That’s right, now you can relive all those fond memories from your childhood or discover these gems for the first time. With more than 20 classic games from the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance, you’re sure to find something to love.

First up, let’s talk Game Boy.

You can now play Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Kirby’s Dream Land, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX, just to name a few. And if you’re looking for some multiplayer fun, Nintendo has you covered. You can now play all of these Game Boy games with a friend wirelessly, without the need for a Link Cable! And don’t worry, more games like The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble will be added in the future.

Next, let’s talk Game Boy Advance. The Switch Online subscription now includes Kuru Kuru Kururin, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$, among others. And just like with the Game Boy games, more Game Boy Advance games like Fire Emblem and Kirby & the Amazing Mirror will be added to the collection in the future.

To access Game Boy games, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, which costs $19.99 a year. But, if you want to play Game Boy Advance games, you’ll need to upgrade to the more expensive Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier, which costs $49.99 a year.
