Over the past two…ish decades, you’ve had a lot of opportunities to buy a physical version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. And now, with its re-release on the Nintendo Switch, Limited Run Games is giving you yet another chance to buy the game that brought turn-based combat to a galaxy far, far away.
Now, KOTOR released digitally just a few days ago on the Switch’s eShop, so you can just go there and download it for $15, or you can grab one of several physical versions available from Limited Run Games.
In addition to the standard edition with just the game, Limited Run will also be producing a premium edition and master edition. The standard edition just includes the physical cartridge, and it will set you back $34.99. Boring. From here, things get more exciting, though. (And expensive.)
The premium edition of KOTOR — $89.99 — includes the game cartridge, a premium foil stamped hard cover box, a steelbook, a reversible poster, character concept art cards, light and dark side commemorative coins, a certificate or authenticity, and an Ebon Hawk metal pin.
Limited Run’s master edition of KOTOR — $174.99 — the game cartridge, the steelbook, a throwback case, the poster, the concept art cards, some concept art litographics, the Ebon Hawk metal pin, the light and dark coins, your certificate of authenticity, a hardback strategy guide, Darth Revan miniature hilt replicas, a Vibroblade letter opener, and a replica Pazaak set.
