Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Undergoing Maintenance

The first part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass was released earlier this year, and it looks like we might be getting more tomorrow. There’s been no news about the DLC since Wave 1 was released in March, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has a scheduled maintenance window this week, usually a tell-tale sign of more content.

NinStatusBot is not affiliated with Nintendo but regularly posts updates about maintenance times and server outages. The Twitter account is claiming that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online services will be going down for maintenance on July 28. It’s scheduled to be taken offline between 01:55 UTC to 03:00 UTC, giving it just over an hour for the update. This would give Nintendo plenty of time to add the Booster Course Pass: Wave 2.

Two weeks ago, a Japanese 7-11 was seen advertising the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass. It didn’t mention Wave 2, but Japanese advertising for Nintendo games often reveals things before Nintendo officially makes an announcement. This was also previously seen with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter pass wave announcements.
