Having some trouble playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online today? Here’s why.
Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be undergoing online maintenance today. This extended maintenance is scheduled between 4:30pm PT and 9pm PT. For most European gamers, this maintenance won’t affect them much, but it cuts into prime game time for Nintendo’s North American audience.
On Jan. 25 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM PT, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will undergo expected and standard maintenance. Online Play features will not be available during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.https://t.co/W7SJlsUtsE

During the maintenance, players won’t be able to access any of the game’s online features or modes. This maintenance appears to be pretty standard, so don’t expect any new surprises when you are back online.
