Nintendo Financial Report Confirms Release Dates

Nintendo has released their latest financial report and posted it online. The report reveals that Nintendo’s profits are still down but remain on track. The report also reveals that the Nintendo Switch has sold more than 92.87 million units, quickly approaching the 101.63 million Nintendo Wii units sold.

The company has reconfirmed the launch schedule of primary Nintendo products for the end of 2021 and beyond. The list also reveals that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel is expecting a 2022 release date.

Here’s the schedule from the latest financial report:

  • Shin Megami Tensei V — November 12, 2021

  • Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda — November 12, 2021

  • Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl — November 19, 2021

  • Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain — December 3, 2021

  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus — January 28, 2022

  • TRIANGLE STRATEGY — March 4, 2022

  • Kirby and the Forgotten Land — Spring 2022

  • Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp — Spring 2022

  • Splatoon 3 — 2022

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel — 2022

  • Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope — 2022

  • Bayonetta 3 — 2022

  • Metroid Prime 4 — TBA

Metroid Prime 4 still not having a release period isn’t too surprising, but the report does confirm that various major games are still being planned for a 2022 release. It also lists the upcoming releases from third-party developers, though it doesn’t include the release date or periods for these titles.

Nintendo will be announcing more details for their upcoming 2022 releases over the next few months, and those release dates will likely be coming in early 2022.
