Nintendo announced the SEGA Mega Drive themed controller during the September Nintendo Direct.
The company announced a three-button Genesis controller and a six-button version of it as well. Speaking to Polygon, Nintendo confirmed that the six-button version will be exclusive to Japan.
A spokesperson for Nintendo of America revealed that the three-button controller is for North America. Consumers in the North American region and most of Europe will be most familiar with the three-button controller.
