Pokémon Home Will Be Compatible With Arceus, Diamond And Pearl Remakes

The Pokémon Company has confirmed that the Pokémon Home app will be receiving an update soon that will make it compatible with the latest games in the franchise. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will be added to the Cloud service storage app soon in addition to Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Players will receive some free mystery gifts when they transfer Pokémon from the new games to the Pokémon Home app. For Legends: Arceus transfers, players will be getting a Rowlet, Cyndaquill, and Oshawott with maximum effort values. Meanwhile, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl transfers will be getting a Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup with Hidden Abilities.

Here’s how you can claim your special Pokémon.

Because Arceus is set in the distant past, the Pokémon you transfer from that game to “present-day” Pokémon Home will be moved to “Strange Balls.” (No, seriously. They’re calling them Strange Balls.)

Nintendo already lists the games on the official compatible games list on the Pokémon Home website. The update that introduces the compatibility will be Update 2.0 but there’s no release date for it yet. The Pokémon Company has stated it will be coming within “weeks,” so it can’t be too far away now.
