The official Nintendo store pages for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have recently been updated after last week’s Pokémon Presents broadcast. With the release date creeping closer, Nintendo is now listing the file space each game will need when purchasing a digital copy. The Nintendo site has Scarlet and Violet listed as 10GB each.
At 10GB, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are listed as being larger than Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which was 6.1GB at release. However, the upcoming games are smaller than Pokémon Sword and Shield, which were 12.4GB each. It’s uncertain if the size difference is due to the upcoming games being smaller or if The Pokémon Company has improved its techniques for reducing file size.
While Scarlet and Violet are 10GB now, the file size might change before the games are released in November. Both games will likely receive a patch on release day, and more updates will probably follow resulting in a larger file size overall. So the two games will be at least 10GB each.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will release on November 18.
