The newly released Shin Megami Tensei V was thought to be a Nintendo Switch exclusive, but it looks like this might not be the case. Is Shin Megami Tensei V a timed Switch exclusive?
The Shin Megami Tensei series has released for Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles in the past. But Shin Megami Tensei V — or SMT 5 — released on November 11 as an exclusive to the Switch console.
Previously, a GeForce Now leak listed Shin Megami Tensei V as releasing on PC, and Atlus — the team behind SMT 5 — hasn’t been commented yet. That leak also revealed various other unannounced games and PC ports which were later confirmed to be true.
Now, a dataminer has been looking through the files of SMT 5. Posting the findings to Twitter, they discovered that one of the files lists three target platforms for the game. It states that the game was aiming for a release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
