Splatoon 3 Direct Coming This Week

Nintendo of America has announced on Twitter that a new Nintendo Direct is coming this week. The upcoming broadcast will be dedicated to Splatoon 3 and will be around 30 minutes long. Considering the game is due to release next month, a new dedicated Nintendo Direct isn’t a big surprise.

So far, Nintendo hasn’t dropped any hints about what we can expect to see in the upcoming Splatoon 3 Nintendo Direct. It has been confirmed to be “roughly 30 minutes of updates,” which is great news for fans of the series. We’re still waiting for news about when preorders for the special Splatoon 3-themed OLED model will go live and the possibility of a Splatfest demo ahead of release.

Splatoon 3 has also just been rated as E10+ by the official ESRB rating. The rating board notes that the game contains “Cartoon Violence,” which was expected. The rating explains that players use paint-based weapons to attack “cartoony enemies and boss creatures.” So nothing unusual for a Splatoon game.

Nintendo is hosting the upcoming Splatoon 3 Direct on YouTube like usual. It will be held on August 10 at 6 am PT | 9 am ET | 3 pm CT this week.
